Present Hope Counseling

About
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and Master’s degree in Counseling at Southeastern Louisiana University. She has spent the past two and a half years doing intensive outpatient therapy for those struggling with substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders. Bailey places emphasis on the client-counselor relationship and its importance for effective therapy. She focuses on creating a nonjudgemental and empathetic environment to understand and validate where each client is while also focusing on gaining trust to challenge her clients to gain insight and self-awareness.
Bailey uses a variety of therapeutic approaches with clients, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that could become barriers to meeting their personal goals. She collaborates with her clients to identify goals and develop skills that enable them to feel empowered as they take on life’s challenges. Bailey’s areas of focus include addiction and recovery, anxiety, stress management, depression, grief and loss, and self-esteem.
In her free time Bailey enjoys reading psychological thrillers, cooking and baking, working out, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
